Our Mission
The mission of this leadership practice is to equip superintendents, principals, assistant principals, and emerging educational leaders with the knowledge, confidence, strategies, and support needed to lead effectively and create positive, lasting change in their schools and communities.
A particular emphasis will be placed on supporting leaders of color and aspiring leaders of color, helping them navigate the unique opportunities and challenges associated with educational leadership while encouraging them to lead authentically, confidently, and with purpose.
Our My Leadership Philosophy
Effective leadership is not simply about holding a position—it is about building relationships, developing people, establishing trust, creating a vision, and having the courage to lead when the path is difficult.
My leadership philosophy is grounded in the belief that great leaders must be willing to serve, listen, learn, make difficult decisions, accept responsibility, and continuously develop themselves and others. The lessons learned as a teacher, coach, principal, and superintendent have reinforced one central principle:
Leaders have the greatest impact when they invest in people.
Our Vision
The vision is to become a trusted resource for educational leaders and school districts seeking experienced, authentic, and practical leadership guidance. Through coaching, consulting, professional development, and motivational speaking, the organization will help leaders become more effective while strengthening the leadership pipeline for the future.
Particular attention will be given to identifying, developing, mentoring, and encouraging leaders of color, helping ensure that talented educators have the support and preparation necessary to pursue and succeed in executive leadership positions.
Why This Work Matters
After more than three decades in education, I understand that leadership can be rewarding, demanding, and sometimes lonely. Superintendents and principals are expected to make difficult decisions, manage competing interests, lead through change, build relationships with boards and communities, support staff, and remain focused on students—all while continually developing themselves as leaders.
My role is to provide leaders with something that is often difficult to find: an experienced leadership coach who understands the work from the inside out.
I bring 31 years of educational experience, 26 years of administrative leadership, 13 years as a superintendent, and the perspective of someone who has successfully navigated the journey from teacher and coach to principal and ultimately superintendent.
The goal is simple: to help educational leaders lead with confidence, purpose, courage, and impact—and to help prepare the leaders who will lead our schools tomorrow.
